CodeBreaker codes
Best known on the PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance, with its own encryption and its own master-code convention.
What a CodeBreaker code is
CodeBreaker codes carry their own encryption, and it changed across versions of the device. A v1 code and a v7 code are different encodings of the same underlying write, so a code list that does not state its CodeBreaker version is only usable by trial and error.
Entering one
Codes go into the deviceβs game list before launching the disc or cartridge, grouped under a game entry you create yourself.
What goes wrong
The version of the device matters as much as the name of the format. "CodeBreaker code" with no version is an incomplete answer β which is why every code here records the exact format it was written for.
